As stated before Right now people are selling Real Estate, all over the country, you might like to try out many of the Real Estate selling agencies all over the Internet, but my suggestion is to come to Costa Rica, and see the properties by yourself.
You don't want any surprises if you are going to invest a large amount of money, maybe a small weekend trip, can save you a lot of headaches in the future, Right now the most profitable Province to visit, and to buy is guanacaste, ( check the map ).
All the hotels, and infrastructure that is being built there is increasing the value of the land, day by day, but do not worry, you can still find some REAL Bargains if you know where to look, as a matter of fact a family member of mine, went to guanacaste a few months ago, and found a nice flat property that was needed to sell by the owner -urgently- guess what, it costed 90.000 colones, that's about 1800 us$ for a property !
It's just a construction space, but 1800 ? come on !
if you travel, look around, ask and do your homework, you can buy a property to retire, to travel or whatever for a nice price.
Specially if you have the money in hand. Talk to the people, make offers. get in the scene. and try not to put people in between, because that will make you pay a lot of unwanted fees, to agencies.
